During her 21 years as a hypnotherapist, Valerie Spencer has acquired and refined many  therapeutic skills. These enable her to tackle a wide range of symptoms.  Her reputation is that of a warm and caring hypnotherapist, who achieves remarkably effective results.
Having used hypnosis to help hundreds of people to a better quality of life, free from their symptoms, Valerie believes passionately in the value of her work.

She graduated from London University with a B.Sc. Honours degree in Psychology. After this Valerie carried out research into sleep learning, based at the Institute of Psychiatry in London. The results were published in 'Nature' and 'New Scientist' in 1970.

Then she trained as a teacher and has taught school children for many years.
Consequently she is at ease with children, is skilled at dealing with them and welcomes children  into hypnotherapy.  

Valerie did her initial hypnotherapy training with the International Association of Hypno-Analysts , is now a member of National Association of Advanced Hypnotherapists and is on the Hypnotherapist Register. Although she has worked as a hypnotherapist in Stroud, Gloucestershire for  twenty years, she frequently attends training courses which add to her skills and knowledge. Valerie has also leads courses in stress management and life coaching.
